11. April 1950

 Tuesday, after Easter Monday! In four weeks, exactly for 11 May 1950, my mother's 30th birthday, my date of birth is calculated.

 That's not going to happen now - I came today, as an 8-month-early, after mum stretched and stretched a bit too much while hanging up the laundry!

 Dienstag, nach Ostermontag! In vier Wochen, exakt für den 11. Mai 1950, den 30ten Geburtstag meiner Mutter!, ist mein Geburtsdatum berechnet.

 Daraus wird nun nichts mehr - ich kam heute, als 8-Monats-Frühchen, nachdem die Mama sich beim Aufhängen von Wäsche wohl ein wenig zu viel streckte und reckte!

 The day of birth is sometimes somewhat overestimated: procreation, death and other encounters contribute substantially to the real satire of life ...

 Der Tag der Geburt wird zuweilen etwas überschätzt: Zeugung, Tod und andere Begegnungen tragen wesentlich zur Realsatire des Lebens bei ...   

 On April 11th, 1950 Hungary became a republic, at this calculated (!) 9-month-date  (= 30th birthday of my mother!), fate seemed to offer a hidden hint to my actual origin :-) :

 Am 11.04.1950 wurde Ungarn Republik, an diesem errechneten (!) 9-Monats-Termin (= 30ter Geburtstag meiner Mutter!) schien das Schicksal noch einen versteckten Hinweis zu meiner eigentlichen Herkunft zu bieten :-) :

In the course of the de-bureaucratisation and decentralisation of the Yugoslav economy, several ministries are dissolved and replaced by councils. (24, S. 56)

Parliamentary elections are held in Jordan, also to sanction the annexation of eastern Palestine. Over 300,000 Jordanians are eligible to vote, including the male residents of Eastern Palestine. (24, S. 56)

On board the US transport ship "Exilona", the first weapons delivered by the USA to Europe within the framework of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) arrive in Naples. (24, S. 56)

Im Zuge der Entbürokratisierung und Dezentralisierung der jugoslawischen Wirtschaft werden mehrere Ministerien aufgelöst und durch Räte ersetzt. (24, S. 56)

In Jordanien finden Parlamentswahlen statt, mit denen auch die Annexion Ostpalästinas sanktioniert werden soll. Wahlberechtigt sind über 300 000 Jordanier, darunter auch die männlichen Bewohner Ostpalästinas. (24, S. 56)

An Bord des US-amerikanischen Transportschiffes »Exilona« treffen in Neapel die ersten Waffen ein, die von den USA im Rahmen des Nordatlantikpakts NATO nach Europa geliefert werden. (24, S. 56)

The first picture - Date: May 11th, 1950

   "A farming couple, Mr. and Mrs. Trent (Mrs. Trent apparently having no name of her own on record) of McMinneville, Oregon, took some of the earliest - and still most intriguing - photos of a UFO. According to their story,  on the evening of May 11th, Mrs. Trent spotted a noiseless object heading towards their farm. She ran into the house to get Mr. Trent and a camera, and managed to take two pictures of the UFO before it disappeared.  :-)

Das erste Bild - Datum: 11.05.1950

"Ein Bauern-Ehepaar, Mr. und Mrs. Trent (Mrs. Trent, die anscheinend in den Akten keinen eigenen Namen hat) von McMinneville, Oregon, machte einige der frühesten - und immer noch faszinierendsten - Fotos eines UFOs. Ihrer Erzählung nach entdeckte Mrs. Trent am Abend des 11. Mai ein geräuschloses Objekt, das auf ihre Farm zusteuerte. Sie lief ins Haus, um Mr. Trent samt einer Kamera zu holen, und schaffte es, zwei Fotos des UFOs zu machen, bevor es verschwand. :-)

 The pictures showed a flattened saucer shape with a raised dorsal bulge at its center, metallic in appearance. In one shot the UFO was almost side-ways to the camera, and in the other it was slightly angled, showing its upper surfaces.

 Die Bilder zeigten eine abgeplattete Untertassenform mit einer erhöhten rückseitigen Ausbuchtung in der Mitte, metallisch im Aussehen. In einer Aufnahme war das UFO fast seitwärts zur Kamera, und in der anderen war es leicht angewinkelt und zeigte seine oberen Flächen.

 To this day, no one could show that the Trent pictures are forgeries, even after the pictures were subjected  to computer analysis and image enhancement, which led to the conclusion that the UFO was at least 70 feet wide, ruling out any 'hubcap hoaxes'. The Trents also did not profit from the pictures, so this was evidently not a motive for deception. However, it has been noted that the pictures appear to have been taken in the morning, rather than the evening as the Trents claimed. Despite this, the pictures are still as interesting now as they were nearly 50 years ago." *

 Bis heute konnte niemand aufzeigen, dass die Trent-Bilder Fälschungen waren, selbst nachdem die Bilder einer Computeranalyse und Bildverbesserung unterzogen wurden, wonach man folgerte, dass das UFO mindestens 70 Fuß breit war und jegliche "Radnabenfälschung" ausschloß. Auch profitierten die Trents nicht von den Bildern, also war dies offensichtlich kein Grund zur Täuschung. Es wurde jedoch festgestellt, dass die Bilder eher am Morgen als am Abend aufgenommen wurden, wie die Trents behauptet hatten. Trotzdem sind die Bilder heute noch so interessant wie vor fast 50 Jahren."*

 Am I an alien?! :-)
